Robert Moreman Memorial Scholarship Fund

Robert and Cathy attended the Wimberley Art and Soul welding workshop in 2019

The Robert Moreman Memorial Scholarship (RMMS) will be available to graduating seniors (12th grade) from Wimberley High School (WHS) and Katherine Anne Porter School (KAPS), both located in Wimberley, Texas. The initial goal is to fund at least two single-year scholarships annually, with an option for more depending on available funds. Fundraising will take place from September through December and applications accepted January through mid-March for awards presented each May.

Winning students must have displayed a consistently strong aptitude in and interest in one of WVACA’s four pillars – visual, performing, literary and culinary arts, with active plans for continuing education in that field. To honor Robert’s profession and passion, the fund will also consider makers, creators and builders. Consideration will be given for level of ambition, extra-curricular activity, recommendations from teachers and other adult mentors, good citizenship and financial need.

  • The applicant must be a registered full-time student and must provide academic records that demonstrate good academic standing at WHS or KAPS High Schools.
  • This scholarship will be awarded to students seeking higher education in colleges, universities or after high school technical or trade schools.
  • Academic performance (grades) will be considered during the selection process but will not be the primary criterion when selecting the scholarship recipients.
