Wimberley Valley Film Festival

The Wimberley Valley Film Festival is all about Texas! The short films selected to be shown will all be made by Texans, about Texas, or filmed by a Texan in any remote location, and the subject matter will be Texas focused.

LOCATION: Wimberley Community Center 14068 Ranch Road 12, Wimberley, TX 78676

FESTIVAL DETAILS:

Three categories of films, based on age, will be screened at this all day event:

• Kids’ films (age 8-13 yrs) in the morning and early afternoon
• Teens’ film (age 14 – 19 yrs) mid-to-late afternoon
• Adults’ films (age 20+) at an evening reception

Popcorn and soda will be served at the kids and teens event, with appetizers, wine, and beer available for adults at the culminating evening event.

Monetary prizes will be awarded for each category, with audience participation to select the coveted People’s Choice awards.

FILM SUBMISSION DETAILS:

Kids and adults who want to enter a film should submit their application through Film Freeway, by clicking on the button below.

Films must be no longer than 12 minutes in length and contain no explicit content.  The entry fees are $10.00 for kids and teens and $40.00 for adults. Deadline for entry is September 15, 2023. Films will be screened and judged in various locations throughout Wimberley, TX by film industry pros, and finalists will be notified in early October.
