Welcome to WVACA

Wimberley Valley Arts & Cultural Alliance

CONVENIENTLY LOCATED SOUTHWEST OF AUSTIN AND NORTH OF SAN ANTONIO

Wimberley has long been a muse to an array of artists. This vibrant community with its breath-taking natural beauty inspires creativity and is a magnet for arts and culture throughout the region. The arts –visual, performing, literary and culinary –are widely represented in the Wimberley Valley and have been for many generations.

The Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance (WVACA) was formed in 2013 by nearly two dozen local businesses and organizations in the region, in the belief that arts and culture enhance economic viability and quality of life.

WVACA was granted 501(3)c status in 2014 and has achieved important designations on behalf of Wimberley, including:

  • Texas Cultural District Designation from the Texas Commission for the Arts in 2015.

  • Texas Film-Friendly Community Designation by the Texas Film Commission in 2019.

  • Texas Music Friendly Designation from the Texas Commission on the Arts in 2022.”
