The Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance has received formal designation as a Texas Cultural District from the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) every year since 2015. The original Wimberley Cultural District included only the area
immediately in and around Wimberley Square. Wimberley was one of the first and smallest in the state to receive this important recognition. 

In late 2023, the Commission approved the expansion of the Wimberley Valley Cultural District to include our entire geographic area, from the Junction at RR12 and FM32 through Wimberley village and out both RR12 and FM 2325 to Jacob’s Well.
