I am a writer with a focus on everyday life cultural activities. I study music as a source of meanings, values, and self-direction as a professor of sociology at Texas State University. I study the self identity of the contemporary bio-medical scientist as a medical sociologist at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Most of my spare time is dedicated to my family and my vegetable garden.
