Three Cheers to the Wimberley Valley
March 3 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Please join leaders of the cities of Wimberley and Woodcreek, the Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance (WimberleyArt.org), and the Wimberley Valley Dark Sky Committee for a big Wimberley Valley Celebration on Sunday, March 3rd!
We’re celebrating the extensive expansion by the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) of the designated Wimberley Valley Cultural District to encompass our entire geographic area! This is great news for all of us. For more information, check out the attached Wimberley Valley Cultural District map and visit https://www.arts.texas.gov/initiatives/cultural-districts/
We’re celebrating the Wimberley Valley’s selection as the “International Dark Sky Place of 2023” by the International Dark Sky Association. This is an outstanding achievement for our small community, and an important recognition of the results that can be achieved when committed citizens and officials pull together with an inspiring shared vision.
We’re celebrating the selection of the artist for a new city of Wimberley-sponsored mural on the silo at Oak Park (a WimberleyArts.org “Public Arts” project) and will unveil the winning design that reflects both our Dark Sky and our Valley’s creative and environmental heritage.
Great Music! Great Food and Drinks! Great Fun! We sure hope to see you at this celebration of Wimberley Valley history-making events! Please share this invitation with your community.
